A few points here and there, and the Whitman-Hanson wrestling team is off to a fast start to the season, but fate did not favor them at Sandwich High School on Saturday.
The Panthers dominated the host Blue Knights 42-12, but lost by eight points to the Braintree Wamps, 41-33, and nine to the Sharon Eagles, 45-36, while they also lost 54-27 to the Milton Wildcats. Senior Colin McSweeney and juniors Jeff Bechen, Brody Deminico and Greg McGrath all went undefeated for the Panthers, who will wrestle at the Wayland Tournament this Saturday before hosting Natick at the High School Tuesday night. |
