Reader's view: Time to say goodbye

I’m writing this note to let you know I will not run for another term. I feel that 15 years is a long time and I’m not sure that I can commit to another three years; I now have two adorable granddaughters and I can’t get enough of them.

I took my nomination papers out because I was afraid no one else would run for my seat. Now there has been some interest shown and I would like the people in town to know I will not return my nomination papers. I would like to thank the town residents for all their support and wish all those at the Water Department the best.
