Shirley (Tero) Stanchina 85, died Thursday, Dec. 22 on her 85th Birthday, after a period of failing health. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph C. Stanchina.
Born and raised in Whitman, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Doris (Sandborn) Tero. Shirley loved to garden, sew, knit, crochet paint and do counted cross stich. She leaves her children Russell Stanchina and his wife Cecilia of New Hampshire, Ann Sacco and her husband Tony of Hanson, and Jane Pye and Ron Lundy of Foxboro. She was the mother of the late Robert F. and Michael J. Stanchina and sister of the late Francis and Robert Tero. She was Nana to Marc and his wife Lauren Sacco, their children Mia and Gabriella, Andrea and her husband Dave Floyd and their daughter Brooke. Her services will be held at 8:15 a.m., Friday, Dec. 30 from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel (Route 58 at the rotary) Whitman, followed by a funeral mass at 9 a.m. in the Holy Ghost Church, Whitman. |
