Melissa (Collins) Triantafillou 42, formerly of Whitman, died in her home Sunday, Aug. 28. She was the beloved wife of Derek Triantafillou, and the loving daughter of Georgianna Collins of New Hampshire and the late John Collins. Melissa was a graduate of Cardinal Spellman High School, Class of 1987 and continued on to earn her bachelor’s degree from Northeastern University. She had worked as a respiratory therapist for Beth Israel, Norwood and Jordan Hospitals, and had loved the “outdoors”. She will be extremely missed by her family and friends. In addition to her husband Derek and her mother Georgianna she leaves her son Nikos, her sisters Deborah Adams of Whitman and Diane Berman of Loudon, N.H., and her brother Michael Collins of West Bridgewater as well as many nieces, nephews and relatives. Her services will be held at 8:15 a.m., Friday, Sept. 2 from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel Plymouth Street (Rt. 58 at the rotary) Whitman, followed by a funeral mass at 9 a..m. in the Holy Ghost Church, Whitman. Burial will follow in the St. James Cemetery, Whitman. Visiting hours will be held from 4-8 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 1. |
