Marilyn Elaine Healy (Leitch) of East Bridgewater died on Sunday, Aug. 14, in her home under the care of Hospice of South Shore Hospital. She was 75 years old on July 9.

Marilyn was the loving wife of Robert Healy of East Bridgewater and daughter of the late William Leitch and Agnes Leitch (Borton) of Abington. She was the sister of Joanne Landry (Leitch) and her husband Robert Landry of Hingham. She was also the mother of Marie Hickey (Healy) and husband R.Scott Hickey of Abington and Michael Healy and wife Joyce Healy (Balentine) of East Bridgewater. She leaves four grandchildren, Ryan Hickey and Meghann Hickey both of Abington, Jacqueline Hickey and her fiancée David Vincent of Taunton, and Kaitlyn Healy of East Bridgewater.  Three cousins, Sally Leitch of Whitman, Richard Leitch of Norton, and Patricia Taylor of Marshfield also survive her. Marilyn was beloved by many throughout Abington and East Bridgewater and will be missed by all.

Marilyn was a member of the East Bridgewater Women’s Club, former President of the East Bridgewater Music Parents, and spent many years as a Dutchmaid clothing demonstrator, hairdresser, and homemaker. She most enjoyed spending time with her family, summering in West Yarmouth, and traveling to Cocoa Beach. Marilyn loved sewing and knitting for her loved ones as well.

Visiting hours will be from 3-7 p.m., Sunday Aug. 21  in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel Plymouth Street (Rt. 58 at the rotary) Whitman. Her services will be held at 8:15 a.m. Monday Aug. 22 from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, followed by a funeral mass at 9 a.m. in the Saint Bridget’s Church in Abington. In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations to be made in Marilyn’s name to the Hospice of South Shore Hospital, Box 859060 Braintree, MA 02185, the American Cancer Society, 5 Manly Street West Bridgewater, MA 02379, or the Diabetes Foundation, Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22313.
